Well, we had the final presidential debate yesterday, and it was probably the most interesting of the three.  I was hoping for McCain to do better, and he did.  It’s hard to win against Obama in public speaking, but my opinion is that when it comes to the issues, McCain is better then Obama.  That’s not to say I agree with everything that McCain is promising, but he did hit some good notes yesterday in contrasting his plans with Obama’s, and emphasizing that he was for less government.  There are some things that I wish would have come out in the debate before.  I think they should have talked about how Regan lowered the business tax rate and tax revenue went up.  I think they should talk about how even though we only have 3% of the worlds oil reserves, drilling is still a prudent option to help reduce the price of oil now.  However, the debates are over now, and unless they decide to show up at the third party debate that’s supposed to happen Sunday, we’re not going to get the two of them together for any more friendly conversations.  We’ll be stuck with the ads the campaigns choose to run, like the 30 minute ad that Obama plans to run that bumped back the start time of the World Series.
