What’s New?
Well, it’s been a while since I’ve updated this again, so I thought I’d provide some insight into what’s going on. I recently and finally graduated from Sam Houston State University with a BBA in Management Information Systems and a math minor. Right now I’m still working there, though unless I get a full time position then I will have to stop at the end of the summer as I can’t be a student worker without taking classes. I’m looking for a new job in the Information Technology Services sector, possibly something like I’m doing now or maybe an entry level programming job.
I’ve been teaching myself C#, which is something like a combination of Java and Visual Basic .NET that I’ve taught myself before, and I’m really excited about learning it. I’ve written a few programs with it already, one for work and some for practice that provide information for some games I play. They are not very complicated problems but they suit the purpose of implementing some of the knowledge that I’ve been acquiring. It really is fascinating, and I am starting to think that I should have chosen computer science for a major instead of business, but with what I’m learning on my own I don’t think it would hold me back from a job.
Other then that, things are going pretty well in my personal life. I’ve got a girlfriend now, she’s great, we have alot in common. We recently helped my Grandmother move down here from Tennessee, and it’s great to be able to see her all the time. I’m going on vacation soon, going to six flags twice and a family reunion. Other then that, things are about the same.
